It all started with a simple question “will you explore with me to find cool fauna and worlds” from a tiktok. That gathered four individuals who wants a place to show off their travels and what they found. They wanted to show where they have travels, which systems have been touched and recorded.
Two members decided they wanted their own map. One like no one has seen before in NMS. The first inspiration was the Elite Dangerous public git hub repo for their own 3d map they have developed.
Over the last 10 months these members have gained a following of over 400 travelers that want to document their travels among the stars. Collectively they have charted over 30 thousand systems, 100 thousand planets, and 20 thousand moons.
The ambition to explore the vastness of NMS is never dying. Many other communities have built their own maps, and even Hello Games has their own Atlas map they’ve built as well. The Voyagers Haven is proud of their map and want to share it with everyone else – their shared dream.
Through hundreds of real hours they managed to build the closest replica of how the game displays the regions, systems, and planets in every galaxy and displaying it in a true 3d layout. The core void is also visible to anyone brave enough to traverse through the unseen.
What was once a private project has turned into much much more than anyone could have anticipated from the start. Its a full functional community Atlas that has shown each travelers path as they explore each and every galaxy.
