Value: An Empire Awaits Their Promised Land
Over a year had passed since the announcement trailer of Light No Fire, but there is only silence. Once-excited fans now grow weary. But then lo! A beacon of hope! Sean Murray has tweeted a single emoji: “🥓” And what’s more? It is retweeted by the official Light No Fire twitter account! News must be just upon the horizon! The bacon must be a sign! We weave arts and tell stories about the bacon, how good it must taste, to those who wait! These “memes” become a daily ritual, descending into debauchery as we try desperately to summon some remnant of news. A month passes. No news comes. Only silence. It becomes apparent the bacon was only meant to hail the “Beacons” update for No Man’s Sky: a solid update that builds upon settlements, but the beacon for Light No Fire remains unilluminated. After over 40 days of crafting memes to bring joy to a restless community, I announce my retirement, but offer instead the formation of a Light No Fire community, ready to build and explore together at launch. After a short poll, the name is decided: We will be called, “The Holy Bacon Empire.“
