With the Foundation update, I built my base thinking I would only be there for a short while. Then a Gek arrived, small and talkative. Suddenly my base no longer felt empty. That evening, my journey did not take me to the center of the galaxy. Nor to a rare ship. Nor towards a great discovery. No. I went to a cave because my little farm needed resources. I went back to explore to find what to plant, cultivate, and discover new plants to grow. And that’s when something changed. I now had something to maintain, something to keep me coming back, something to make my base come alive.
